My name is Derien and I’m a Product Owner, digital content creator, and advocate for small business owners and solo founders.

Throughout my career, I’ve worked in VC-backed startups, non-profit organizations, and enterprise companies in a variety of roles including as a software engineer and Product Manager and enjoy working with founders to bring their ideas to reality.

As a previous startup founder, I aim to help support and guide entrepreneurs without a dedicated team to build and run an efficient business and online brand because I know how difficult it can be to start a business alone.

The reality is that there are only 24 hours in a day and there’s a limit to our knowledge as well as our physical, mental, and spiritual will-power to learn and perform all the necessary steps to grow a business by ourselves. And while it’s critical to have teammates and partners that balance our weaknesses with their strengths — the truth is that good teammates and partners can be both expensive and hard to find.

That’s why I started this blog.

I create content that I believe will help other founders overcome the hurdles and challenges that I once faced while equipping them with the tools and mindset necessary to be a successful business owner in 2023 — by whatever standard you’re looking to achieve.e
